At just six months old, J’adore taught us that even when you do everything “right,” dog nutrition can still feel wrong. A few health scares made it clear: feeding a dog isn’t as simple as rice and chicken, but it also shouldn’t mean a cupboard full of powders.
So we dug deeper — reading, testing, cooking, tweaking — searching for balance that was both realistic and effective.
Then came June. She joined us malnourished, recovering from tick fever, and facing the kinds of struggles many rescues know too well.
As the puppers grew we had to deal with allergies, skin infections, and a string of little issues that never seemed to end.
Together, J’adore and June forced us to find a better way. Not just variety, but the right kind of variety. Not just food, but food that actually nourishes. Through trial, error, and science, we adapted global nutrition standards (AAFCO, NRC, FEDIAF) into everyday Indian kitchens — using familiar ingredients, with minimal supplementation.
And we saw the change: healthier coats, more energy, fewer infections, and finally, happy mealtimes without the stress.
That’s when Barkology was born. Not as another food brand, but as a way to give pet parents the same clarity and confidence we had finally found.
