Morning: Road Trip Adventure – Kasauli, Here We Come!

We started our day in Delhi, where the humans loaded up our favourite snacks and packed up the Zoomcar-Jimny for the ride. Let me tell you, that 6-hour drive was the ultimate snooze fest for me and J’adore. We took turns staring out the window, judging the passing trees, and doing a little bit of side-eyeing at the traffic.

We didn’t complain because the roads were smooth, and the humans were playing our favourite tunes. Eventually, we made our way to Dharampur, where we stayed at the Pine Maderas hotel—a peaceful place where I could stretch my paws and enjoy some quiet time.

Pro tip: there’s no lift, so I had to get carried a couple of times. (A small price to pay for the VIP treatment!)

Afternoon: Time to Explore Kasauli (and Get Some Sniffs In!)

The next morning, I was up bright and early (J’adore, not so much) and ready for some adventure. First stop: Heritage Market. Now, this place is perfect for sniffing around—lots of cute shops, but the best part was the amazing smells wafting through the air. If you’re a dog like me, you’ll love it. After that, we strolled down Mall Road, and let me tell you, it’s best to keep your paws on high alert here. There are some monkeys around, so if you’re walking with your human, be sure to keep them close (we got carried for safety). We also stopped at the peaceful Christ Church for a few moments of zen—perfect for recharging my batteries.

Lunchtime Pizzas: A Must-Stop at Dochi Pizzeria

Now, let's talk about something that will make any travel day complete: food. And not just any food, but the best pizza we've had in all of India! That’s right, it’s time to talk about Dochi Pizzeria. Dochi has two outlets in Kasauli: one on Mall Road and the other in Dochi Village (the OG spot). We tried both, and let me tell you, their brick oven pizzas are next level! The dough is made fresh, and they even offer half-n-half pizzas (a win when you can’t choose just one topping). Oh, and the garlic bread? Don't even get me started—it’s the perfect sidekick to the pizza, and the coffee is a nice touch if you need a pick-me-up.

And get this: We loved it so much that we stopped by on our way back to Delhi from Himachal, just for another round of that incredible pizza. No regrets whatsoever.

Late Afternoon: Sunset Point and Gilbert Trail – The Views Were to Die For

Okay, here’s the thing: I’m not the biggest fan of walking long distances. But when we got to Sunset Point, I didn’t mind it one bit. The views were incredible, and I took my time lounging in the cool breeze while J’adore tried to get a picture-perfect shot. Humans are obsessed with photos, right?

After our photo shoot, we made our way to Gilbert Trail, but here’s the scoop: tourist cars aren’t allowed beyond the Kasauli Club. So, the humans had two options: walk to the trail or take a local taxi. Being the clever pups we are, we convinced them to take the taxi. For ₹500, the taxi took us to the trail, waited for us, and brought us back. Totally worth it for the convenience (and the humans didn’t have to huff and puff their way uphill)!. Now, this is where the fun really began! It was a 20-minute walk up to get to the trail start, and let me tell you, those scenic views? Worth every step (and I got plenty of new smells to investigate along the way). The humans seemed tired after 1.5 hours of walking, but I was ready to keep going (being carried by them obviously). Adventure never stops, right?

Evening: Time for a Snack and a Chill-Out Session

After all that walking, we made a pit stop at a cozy Cafe Mitti, an all vegetarian cafe. The stars were out, and I was lounging on the patio while the humans sipped on their tea. Not sure what’s in that drink, but it smelled pretty good. They looked so relaxed, which was totally my vibe after a busy day.
